Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Hello@ComfortCalls.life if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A: A Comfort Call is a scheduled, 100% non-medical social visit conducted over the telephone. It is designed to provide seniors with meaningful conversation, a friendly check-in, and a consistent social connection to brighten their day.

A: Simply select a service from our menu, choose a date and time that works best, and provide the phone number of the person I will be calling. You can pay securely right here on the website.

A: No. Comfort Calls provides companionship and social engagement only. I do not provide medical advice, medication administration, or mental health therapy. In the event of a perceived emergency during a call, I will immediately urge the recipient to contact 911 or their primary caregiver.

We understand that plans change! We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or to reschedule your call. This allows us to offer that time slot to another family. Please note that missed calls (no-shows) or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.

Social Companionship Services FAQ

1. Nature of Service

Comfort Calls provides non-medical social companionship and conversation via telephone. Our services are not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or crisis intervention services. We do not provide medical advice or medication reminders.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or to reschedule a call.

• Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice will receive a full refund or credit.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or "no-show" calls where the recipient does not answer after two attempts, are non-refundable.

3. Call Procedures

I will make two attempts to reach the recipient within a 10-minute window of the scheduled time. If the recipient does not answer, I will notify the primary family contact via email or text.

4. Safety & Emergencies

If, during a call, a situation arises that appears to be a medical emergency, I will immediately instruct the recipient to hang up and dial 911 (or their local emergency number) and will then contact the designated family representative.

5. Right to Terminate

Comfort Calls reserves the right to terminate any call or service agreement immediately if a conversation becomes inappropriate, abusive, or falls outside the scope of non-medical companionship.
